The Moisturizing Alkaline Perm gives natural-looking curls to normal, colored, or highlighted hair. The versatile formula allows water, lotion, or a combination of different wrapping styles for the ultimate in customized perming. Allows control of amount of curl support, to create any style. Buffered waving lotion regulates pH for maximum curl results without dryness or frizziness. Stop-action prevents over-processing on normal hair types.

How To Use
- 1. Gently shampoo hair; rinse and towel-dry.
WATER WRAP
- 2. Block hair into sections.
- 3. Wrap damp hair. If hair dries, mist lightly with water.
- 4. When wrap is completed, lightly mist all wrapped rods
with water. - 5. Place cotton around hairline and a towel at the nape of
the neck. - 6. Apply Waving Lotion to top and underside of each wrapped
rod and re-saturate. - 7. IMPORTANT: To prevent skin irritation, remove cotton and
towel and gently blot with water-soaked cotton any areas where lotion may have
contacted skin. Replace with fresh cotton and clean towel. Repeat as necessary. - 8. PROCESSING: Cover head with plastic cap and clamp in
front. Be sure all rods are covered and airtight. Process at room temperature.
DO NOT process under dryer or heat lamp.
Normal/Resistant Hair - 20 minutes.
Perm has Stop Action. No test curl is necessary during processing. Perm will
not overprocess on normal hair.
Tinted (single process) Hair - Test curl after 5 minutes and every 1 minute
thereafter. If hair is very porous, take first test curl at 3 minutes. - 9. Neutralize.
- NEUTRALIZING (for all wrapping methods)
- 1. When processing is complete, rinse hair for 3 to 5
minutes. - 2. Blot each curl thoroughly.
- 3. Place cotton around hairline
- 4. Shake Neutralizer and apply to top and underside of each
rod and re-saturate. Save approximately ½ oz. of Neutralizer. - 5. Wait 5 minutes.
- 6. Gently remove rods.
- 7. Apply remaining Neutralizer to unwrapped curls and work
through hair for 1 minute. - 8. Rinse hair thoroughly.
- 9. Style as desired.
- COMBINATION WRAP
- NOTE: Do not combination wrap tinted hair Block hair into
sections and determine which will be lotion wrapped and which will be water
wrapped. - 2. Place towel around neck.
- 3. Wrap water-wrapped sections first. Leave hair damp for
wrapping. If hair dries during wrapping, mist lightly with water. - 4. When water-wrapped sections are wrapped, lightly mist
curls with water and place cotton around wrapped section. - 5. Apply Waving Lotion to the top and underside of each
wrapped rod. Avoid dripping. - 6. IMPORTANT: To prevent skin irritation, remove cotton and
towel and gently blot with water-soaked cotton any areas where lotion may have
contacted skin. Replace with fresh cotton and clean towel. Repeat as necessary. - 7. PROCESSING: Cover wrapped rods with plastic cap and clamp. Be sure all rods are covered and airtight. Process at room temperature.
DO NOT process under dryer or heat lamp. Start timing immediately.
Normal/Resistant – 20 minutes – water-wrapped sections. - 8. Immediately start wrapping lotion-wrapped sections.
- 9. Apply Waving Lotion to sections to be lotion wrapped, keeping lotion 1/2" from scalp. If lotion-wrapped section becomes dry while wrapping, lightly remoisten with lotion.
- 10. When wrap is completed, place cotton around hairline and a towel at the neck.
- 11. Apply Waving Lotion to the top and underside of each wrapped rod and re-saturate.
- 12. IMPORTANT: To prevent skin irritation, remove cotton and towel and gently blot with water-soaked cotton any areas where lotion may have contacted skin. Replace with fresh cotton and clean towel. Repeat as necessary.
- 13. PROCESSING: Extend plastic cap to cover all wrapped rods. Be sure all rods are covered and airtight. Process at room temperature.
DO NOT process under dryer or heat lamp. Normal/Resistant – 10 minutes – lotion
wrapped sections. Normal hair types will not overprocess even if lotion is left
on the hair longer than the required time. - 14. Neutralize
